The Office of Student Life and Development is the central point on campus for many co-curricular student initiatives, campus civic, religious organizations, social organizations, leadership opportunities, Greek Letter, and Intramural Sports and Recreation. It is through these experiences and student engagements that the Office of Student Life and Development focuses on the holistic approach to our students.

New Student Orientation- Fall 2026

We are looking forward to welcoming our incoming students for the 2026-2027 academic year!

New Student Orientation (NSO) Week- August 11-17,2026

The start of the 2026 Fall semester is right around the corner.

Residence Halls open for the Fall Semester on August 11-13, the Halls will be open at 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.

On Campus Move-In Times:

August 11- Incoming Students Last Name: A-M, August 12- Incoming Students Last Name: N-Z, August 13- All Returning Students

Arrival & Unloading: 

1. Visit the Residence Life and Housing webpage and review our checklist for a list of items to bring and not to bring (Located under Resident Information).
2. Make sure the boxes you pack are light and easy to carry.
3. Use your storage bins and packing boxes.
4. Focus on the necessities. Pack only what you need or what you cannot buy once you arrive to Tuskegee.  

Freshmen Essentials:

• Portable Fan
• Sunscreen
• Deodorant 
• Medicine (Cold, Allergy, Prescription, and etc.)
• Bug Spray
• Hat
• Blanket
• Rain Gear: Poncho/Jacket, Umbrella, and Rain Boots 
• Water
• Snacks
• Business Attire for Career Fairs, Meetings, Interviews, Rites of Passage, and etc. 
• Formal Wear (at least 2 items) 
• Rites of Passage (August 16)- Black and White Business Attire
