Introduction
The Bacteriology, Mycology, and Parasitology Laboratory at Tuskegee University provides advanced diagnostic testing for bacterial, fungal, and parasitic diseases in animals. Services include routine isolation and identification of microorganisms, antibiotic sensitivity testing, fecal examinations for gastrointestinal parasites, and USDA-certified Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) testing using the Coggins test. These capabilities support accurate disease identification, effective treatment planning, veterinary education, and research on infectious diseases in both domestic and wildlife populations.
