Congratulations to the Tuskegee University, College of Veterinary Medicine, Graduate Public Health Program's (TUCVM) staff member, Mrs. Samina Akhter, on completing training as the only representative from Tuskegee University at the National Global Career Development Association (NCDA) International Conference held on June 24 -28, 2024 in San Diego, California. Mrs. Akhter took two four-hour courses each: PDI #1 - Career Construction Counseling for Well-Being and Success, and PDI #5 - The Interconnection of Career Theories and Mental Health: 2023 Counselor Educator Academy.
Attending this training fulfills the requirement for Public Health’s accreditation Criteria H2 Career Advising (SPH & PHP) School of Public Health & Public Health Programs 2024 which is required to provide an evidence document explaining how career advisors are trained to understand the needs of a diverse student body and to address students’ career needs and support their success.
