Thanks to all the participants of the Tuskegee University, College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) Veterinary Science Training, Education and Preparation Institute (VET STEP I) program which ran June 8-12 for students entering grades 9-10. The students had an awesome time at the TU Goat Farm field day activity on June 10!
The 2026 VET STEP I Closing Ceremony was held June 12, in which participants presented their research project topics and displayed what they learned over the week. They were also presented with their white coats and pins and allowed to take memorable photos with their family members and supporters.
VET STEP Program Director Jerome Jones and the VET STEP staff thanks everyone who helped make the VET STEP I program a memorable experience for these future veterinarians! Looking forward to VET STEP II which starts June 22nd!
