Department of Clinical Sciences

Welcome to the Department of Clinical Sciences at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. The veterinary faculty and staff members in the DCS are dedicated to providing an environment that enhances student learning and that provides high-level, compassionate care for all animals.

The Department of Clinical Sciences consists of faculty and staff members with expertise in various species and disciplines, in both large and small animal medicine and surgery. Large animal clinicians include those with expertise in equine medicine and surgery as well as food animal (cattle, pigs, sheep and goats) herd health and individual animal medicine. Small animal clinicians address the needs of companion-animal pets in the various services, including community practice, surgery, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, shelter medicine and diagnostic imaging.

Departmental faculty and staff members provide student instruction through classroom lectures, hands-on labs and demonstrations, student rounds and hands-on care and treatment of clinical cases.
