Souleymane Fall, PhD

Research Associate Professor, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

Dr. Fall’s research focuses on applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and climate data analysis to investigate climate variability and change. His work examines temperature and equivalent temperature trends and variability; historical and projected trends in extreme climatic events and their predictability using large-scale circulation patterns; the detection of climate change hotspots; and the impacts of land use and land cover on near-surface climate. In addition, his research addresses the social dimensions of climate change, including climate and health vulnerability assessments and issues related to environmental justice.
