Annual research symposium and lecture series to address improvements in health care for minorities

The year 2010 may very well be marked as the year health care changed in America. Tuskegee University is also joining the national discussion. The School of Nursing and Allied Health and the National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care presents the 26th Annual Scholarly Events and Research Symposium and 23rd Annual Mary Stark Harper Lecture Series on Feb. 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Bioethics Center Auditorium.

Lecture series presented at Bioethics Center for Black History Month

Several lectures focusing on slavery, historical figures, bioethics and more will be part of a series held at the Tuskegee University National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care through the month of February, Black History Month. The twice-weekly series is sponsored by the Department of History and Political Science, Tuskegee University Archives in partnership with the Bioethics Center, National Park Service and Student Government Association.

Tom Joyner Foundation continues fundraising campaign for Tuskegee

The Tom Joyner Foundation, a major driving force in raising scholarship money for Historically Black Colleges and Universities since 1998, continues its aggressive fundraising campaign for Tuskegee University throughout the remainder of the year. The institution was designated as "School of the Month" for January, and has been featured prominently on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, aired in 115 markets across the U.S.
